David Francis - Chairman
David is a proven entrepreneur with a 30-year track record that embraces the property, healthcare, entertainment and hospitality industries.
He is founder of the Westmeria Counselling Service – a charity that has helped more than 2,500 people dealing with mental health issues since its formation in 2003.
In 2012 he sold his business – a market leader in developing, manufacturing and supplying medical equipment – to a global plc to co-found the Imani Group to bring definitive, mixed-use development to the property market. David serves as Chairman of Armarii, a manufacturer of bespoke fitted furniture to the UK’s leading housebuilders.
A sports enthusiast, he is a keen golfer and Millwall fan, and is vice chairman of Cray Wanderers FC.
Charlie Francis - Managing Director
With a BSc degree in business administration from the University of Bath and invaluable experience in the world of finance with Deutsche Bank, Charlie joined the family healthcare business to support an exit process over a three-year period before co-founding the Imani Group.
Charlie is responsible for the day to day operations of the Imani Group, reviews new investment opportunities and leads a team of consultants to manage planning applications, construction and marketing of completed units.
Charlie serves as a Non Executive Director of Armarii, a manufacturer of bespoke fitted furniture to the UK’s leading housebuilders.
He has a passion for travel; is a Millwall season ticket holder enjoys going to the gym.
Rozaya Goldthorpe - Financial Controller
Rozaya pursued a career in accounting and finance following her degree from the University of Lancaster in 1985.
She trained as a chartered accountant with Touché Ross & Co (now Deloitte – the multi-national professional services firm) and has given support to a variety of businesses.
She joined the Imani team in 2015 and co-ordinates the accounting, finance and management functions of the various entities within the group.
Rozaya is a yoga and swimming enthusiast and loves travelling.
Kate Carpenter-Ryan - Property Manager
Kate began her career in the NHS. After 10 years in various administrative roles she left to develop a local healthcare company where she stayed for five years before setting up her own company offering business backup and support.
She has worked for the Imani Group in an administrative capacity since its inception, supporting the directors and taking responsibility for all aspects of maintenance across a number of properties.
She enjoys precious time with her young family; loves creative hobbies, and is a keen photographer.
